The Last Resort est la toute nouvelle organisation suisse de d\u00e9fense des droits de l’homme et d’aide au suicide. Elle est la seule organisation \u00e0 proposer un service de suicide assist\u00e9 gratuit.<\/p>\n

Le 23 septembre 2024, The Last Resort a organis\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re utilisation du Sarco dans une retraite en for\u00eat dans le canton de Schaffhouse.<\/p>\n

Le Sarco a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 par une femme gravement malade originaire du Middle West am\u00e9ricain. La femme a perdu connaissance au bout de deux minutes et est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e sept minutes plus tard.<\/p>\n

Le procureur de Schaffhouse a ensuite arr\u00eat\u00e9 et d\u00e9tenu le pr\u00e9sident du TLR, Florian Willet, pendant 70 jours. Les avocats de l’organisation ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s! Tous ont finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Le projet Sarco a vu le jour en 2012 lorsque Philip Nitschke a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 concevoir une machine qui pourrait aider un homme atteint du syndrome d’enfermement \u00e0 contr\u00f4ler sa propre mort.<\/p>\n

La capsule Sarco imprim\u00e9e en 3D fonctionne en rempla\u00e7ant rapidement l’air (et l’oxyg\u00e8ne) \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de la capsule par de l’azote pur. Dans cet environnement l’utilisateur meurt rapidement et paisiblement.<\/p>\n
